River Phoenix?s Final Film Resurrected

Heartthrob River Phoenix, known for his film Stand By Me and Mosquito Coast, is coming back to the big screen. Phoenix’s movie Dark Blood was never released after the 23-year-old died due to a drug overdose in 1993. Director George Sluizer announced in October 2011 his plans to resurrect and re-edit Dark Blood. Sluizer realized he might be able to finish the film, with the support and help of Phoenix’s family. Joaquin Phoenix, River’s younger brother, provides voiceovers for the film. After 19 years of wait for the film, the drama will premiere at the Netherlands Film Festival on September 27th.
