American icon Andy Griffith passed away on July 3rd at 86 years old. Griffith is best known as Sheriff Andy Taylor from the 1960s comedy The Andy Griffith Show. After Griffith tried to go to the movie business, but after having little success, he went back to Mayberry, with the 1986 movie Return to Mayberry. The original cast of the Andy Griffith show reunited, and the movie was a hit. After the movie’s success Griffith stared a role in the hit series Matlock.
